Get More Patients with a Google Business Profile
30 December 2022 in Uncategorised
Do a Google search such as, ‘Dermal Fillers near me’, you’ll notice that Google returns a list of three locations where you get this treatment in your current location. The three businesses that have shown as a result of your search query have a Google Business Profile (GBP) page and are one step closer to attracting a new patient.
If these clinics did not have a GBP page then they would not have shown. Think about this in the context of your business.
GBP is a free business listing from Google. It allows you to provide important information such as telephone number, photos, updates and events for your business, including your location and services. Creating a GBP is an important step to attract new patients to your aesthetic’s business through Google search and Maps.
So let’s talk about the steps you need to take to set this up for your business:
Step 1 – Create your business profile over on business.google.com
Step 2 – Add your location
Step 3 – Add your contact number
Step 4 – Verify your business – Physical businesses will need to get a postcard by mail to verify their location
Tips to optimise your profile
- Enter your business hours, messaging preferences, business description, and photos. Customers are 2.7 times more likely to consider your business reputable if you have a complete Google Business Profile
- Add real images and videos of your clinic. Showcase before and after patient results. According to Google, businesses with photos receive more requests for directions and more clicks through to their websites. Use good photography. Remember that these images are the first impression that many people will have about your business.
- Include keywords in your profile – Using the right keywords will improve relevance. Think about the types of keywords your patients would use to search for your services.
- Encourage and answer reviews and questions. The best time to ask for a review is after a patient has a great experience at your clinic. Google provides a direct link to ask customers to review your business. Make sure to take time to reply to your patients reviews and thank them. Responding to reviews shows that you value your customers and the feedback that they leave about your business
- Keep your business information up to date. Make sure to edit your business profile if you change your hours of operation, contact information, etc. Nothing annoys customers more than showing up within operating hours only to find you closed.
- Create posts to share updates, product news, offers, and events at your clinic. Make sure to post here weekly. Use a call to action to encourage potential new patients to visit your website and ‘book an appointment’
- Google offers businesses access to a free marketing kit with stickers, social posts, and printable posters. Make use of these for your clinic.
